I did a short essay on a 99-year-old man named Bob and his 86-year-old girlfriend, Pearl, of Boynton Beach, Fla. The couple have been dating for over a year. Each of them had long-time spouses who passed away years ago. Now Bob and Pearl don't go a day without seeing each other. "It was love at first sight," Bob said.

I only spent about two weeks with them before my time with them was unfortunately cut short... But I did like some of the stuff I got in such a small amount of time. Anyway, thanks for looking!

Pahokee - World War II veteran James Whitfield, 90, sits outside of Save-a-Lot in Pahokee selling candy apples, sweet potato pies, and boiled peanuts on Fridays and Saturdays for almost 10 hours in an effort to make ends meet. Whitfield served in the army during World War II for 3 and a half years and fought in the island of Saipan. "I did it to protect the world, the whole world," Whitfield said. "But I couldn't do it myself."

They also helped their national team win gold in the same international games. Blitz started riding dressage casually at 17. "I never expected to ride professionally until I realized that I was," Blitz said. Blitz and Paragon are considered likely to be a part of Olympic team where the games are set to take place in London summer of 2012.

The American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk took place in West Palm Beach Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011. The 5K walk was meant to educate, raise awareness, and provide funds for both people with cancer and for those with family members or friends with cancer. The American Cancer Society anticipated approximately 5,000 people to attend. "It was truly inspirational to see 250 breast cancer survivors among today's 5,000 walkers. Nothing better illustrates the impact our volunteers and donations are making in the fight against breast cancer," said Malissa (cq) Booth, Board of Directors member with the American Cancer Society of the Palm Beach unit. Palm Beach County has hosted an annual cancer event since 1989 making this year the 23rd event.

Currently Stegen's 12-stall barn produces a load of waste every 5-7 days during season. I had a really scary experience during this shoot on Thursday, July 28th. After I took the picture of the man in the hat (in front of the waterfall) I ran after him to get his name and information. I accidentally followed him into an employee only area and after he answered my questions and shook my hand, security ran up to me and insisted that I go with them. I was detained for almost an hour and was asked many questions. They were not the nicest people, and the experience altogether was not fun. But it was a good learning experience and it only makes me stronger I guess, haha. Ahh, the things we go through for a picture.

Authorities say the chase began about 10:20 p.m. after a report of a possible drunken driver on the east side of the valley. Carrillo was high on methamphetamine and was weaving in and out of traffic.

A nearly 60-foot-tall tree on Hollyhock Street was uprooted by high winds Sunday afternoon in downtown Las Vegas. The tree fell in between two parked cars on the street blocking the small cul-de-sac. No one was injured.

Construction workers at the intersection between Spring Mountain Road and Las Vegas Boulevard work to repair a collapsed trench Friday afternoon, July 8, 2011 where traffic in all directions was affected. The trench collapsed while a contractor was working on a steel pipe project. Las Vegas Boulevard was down to one lane in each direction and Spring Mountain Road was down to one lane going east bound and two lanes going west bound. The contractor on the scene is working around the clock until the problem is repaired which is predicted to be Sunday morning.
